In just a week after being booted from Newstalk radio, popular media personality Ragashanti is heading to another upcoming Jamaican radio station Nationwide.
A source close to the radio station told Dancehall HipHop that Ragashanti whose real name is Kingsley Stewart signed a lucrative deal with the Cliff Hughs lead radio station. The figures for the deal was not revealed by the source but hint its in the millions.
Ragashanti commented on the deal: ” I am excited to recommence Ragashanti Live with the team that first gave me the opportunity to be a presenter on radio. I look forward to growing and developing and being able to provide entertainment radio at its best.”
Cliff Hughes also weighed in on the development: “This marks a new era in the history of Nationwide 90FM. In a sense, it’s like Kingsley is coming home. Many people don’t realise that he first started on radio as a co-host of Nationwide at Five in 2002, when we were on another radio station.”
Hughes continues, “Nationwide 90FM has always been daring in the formatting of its programmes. Our talk format will remain, as we continue to expand our reach to Jamaicans from all walks of life, both here and abroad. Kingsley is a welcomed addition to the Nationwide 90FM family. His addition to Nationwide 90FM will diversify our suite of products and programmess to reach every demographic group and grow our market share.”
