Rihanna Scores Her Eighth US No.1 Single

Barbadian popstar Rihanna sure knows how to make them hits. RiRi snatch up her eighth number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.

‘What’s My Name’, a collaboration with rapper Drake and the second single from her upcoming album Loud, shot from 60 to the top spot this week.

The Barbadian pop singer previously topped the chart with ‘SOS’, ‘Umbrella’, ‘Take A Bow’, ‘Disturbia’, ‘Rude Boy’, her T.I. collaboration ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘Love The Way You Lie’, a duet with Eminem. There is no stopping her.

Behind Rihanna, Far East Movement hold steady at two with former chart-topper ‘Like A G6’, while Bruno Mars sticks at three with ‘Just The Way You Are’.

Another Rihanna single, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, remains at four, while last week’s number one, ‘We R Who We R’ by Ke$ha, falls to five.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry zooms from 29 to ten with ‘Firework’ to notch up her sixth US top ten hit.

Notable gains outside of the top ten come from Nicki Minaj, who jumps from 46 to 31 with ‘Right Thru Me’, and Bruno Mars, who leaps from 64 to 36 with ‘Grenade’.
