Rap heavyweight Jay-Z recently did an interview with Delta Sky magazine where he discussed rumors of ties with the illuminati and the delay of his highly anticipated collaborative album with Kanye West.
Back in January, both Jay and West announced their joint LP Watch The Throne, but four months later the two rap champs are still putting in the finishing touch on the project.
In a recent interview with Delta Sky magazine, Jay gave a brief explanation for some of the delays.
“Before success, there weren’t interviews or photo shoots,” Jay recounted. “Now it’s a big thing to get in the studio. It’s like a process just to get there. And once I’m there, I have to dial into an emotion.”
Jay-Z said it’s been hard for Kanye West to finish, saying that his protégé-turned-peer is “in an extraordinarily creative place,” which is making it difficult for him to focus.
Jay-Z also discussed rumors of him being tied to a top secret society called the illuminati.
“I just think people can’t handle when somebody is successful,” Jay explained. “Something has gotta be wrong; you gotta be down with some higher power. And I guess when someone else is successful; it makes you feel like maybe you’re a failure. So it can’t be you, it has to be some other force.”
