Dancehall Gully Gad Mavado and his manager Julian Griffiths Jones was offered bail on Monday to the tune of JA$50,000.
The Mansion Records deejay, who was arrested along with several members of his entourage in St. Ann last weekend, was formally charged with malicious destruction of property while his manager, Griffiths-Jones was charged for assault following an incident at a popular nightclub.
Allegations are that Mavado and his entourage was involved in a fight with a delivery driver at the Jamaica Jamaica nightclub in Ocho Rios that left the driver beaten and the club vandalized. Additional reports suggest that Vado tour bus was chased and pulled over by cops who arrested the deejay, his manager and several members of his entourage.
Attorney representing Mavado, Chris-Tavares Finson told the Jamaica Observer, “We will be there for him when he goes to court. It is apparent that it seems to be a misunderstanding where Mavado and Griffiths Jones is concerned. I’m sure it will be resolved.”
Mavado is schedule to appear in court on June 9th.
