Jamaican Film “Out The Gate” Premiering In Atlanta This Summer

The urban action feature film “Out the Gate” continues to make fans across the country as two more major markets have been announced to play the Jamaican picture starring Paul Campbell (Shottas, First Sunday, Dancehall Queen), Oliver Samuels (Oliver at Large), Shelli Boone (Holla, Saints and Sinners) and Everton (E-Dee) Dennis.

Atlanta audiences get their first chance to see the movie that has blown up Los Angeles and New York City, when the film makes a sneak preview at the Peachtree Village International Film Festival, Aug 18th, before it begins a full week engagement Labor Day Weekend at the AMC North Dekalb 16 starting Sept 2nd. Promotional events surrounding
the Labor Day opening include the Official Launch Party the night before the opening, Thursday Sept 1st, at Calabar, 4144 Redan Road, Stone Mountain, GA, 30083, and following opening night Friday 2nds the Official After Party will be held Bella Lounge & Nightclub, 3437 Old Norcross Rd, Duluth GA, 30096 hosted by Lee Danja and Franski of V103
Atlanta.

The movie, starring two of Jamaica’s most legenday actors, Campbell and Samuels, boasts appearances by dancehall deejay Mr. Lexx, Lady G, Edley Shine of Born Jamaricans, and features a strong musical soundtrack including numbers from Beenie Man, Jadakiss, Busy Signal, Styles P, Turbulance, E-Dee and more. Directed by the Village Brothers and shot on location in Jamaica and Los Angeles, this feature length film has had audiences in New York and LA on the edge of their seats, shouting, laughing and cheering in response to the first Jamaican movie to hit movie theaters in America in a long time. Reggae historian Roger Steffens described the movie as “… a vivid and moving reflection of the flagrant joy of musical creativity of our Jamaican cousins”

More dates are soon to be announced for the film to continue on to Jamaica, Miami, Toronto, London and other international markets. The film produced and distributed by Far I Films, appears to be on its way to becoming a classic.
