Vybz Kartel’s Teacha’s Pet Sponsorship In Jeopardy Amidst Arrest

Ace dancehall artist Vybz Kartel will be spending the weekend behind bars following his arrest in Kingston on Friday (September 30).

The deejay along with three others was detained at a small hotel in Kingston for illegal drug possession. Although details surrounding the arrest are sketchy, sources in the police force told Urban Islandz that the deejay is being interrogated by investigators in relation to a triple murder in St. Catherine and a burnt body found in his burnt down Havendale home last month.

The Portmore Empire deejay also have more issues to worry about as sponsors of his reality TV show Teacha’s Pet may drop the who amidst the arrest.

Corporate telecom giant LIME, who is main sponsor of the show, has indicate that they are following how things plays out.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and as more information becomes available, if necessary, we will issue a further statement,” the company said.

LIME reps said they are in dialogue with the show’s producer, Creative Source Production, regarding reports of charges being laid against the show’s central character.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and as more information becomes available, if necessary, we will issue a further statement,” the company said.

If more charges are laid against the deejay he may loose the sponsorship.
