Feds Take Over Denroy Morgan Drug Case, May Enter Plea Deal

US Federal prosecutors in New York are moving in on the drug case against reggae singer Denroy Morgan.

According to reports, prosecutors in Manhattan filed an indictment against the singer this week.

Morgan is accused of conspiring to sell more than 350 pounds of ganja after he was busted leaving a house in the Bronx with 25 pounds of ganja last year.

The case was dropped in the Bronx Supreme Court after the indictment was filed by the Federal Government charging him with distribution and possession of marijuana.

Morgan’s defence lawyer has been in negotiation with the prosecution for a possible plea deal.
