Natural Black Says Rastafarianism Is Bondage, Talks Growing Up In Guyana [Video]

Reggae singer Natural Black is still under fire from the Rastafarian community for cutting off his locks. However, the singer says he made a personal choice that will better his career.

In a recent interview with Winford Williams of On Stage, the “Far From Reality” singer says he want to be free.

“I want to be free,” Black told Winford. “I want to be free to the world to talk to anyone balance.”

When asked if he is suggesting that Rastafarianism is a form of bondage, Natural Black says “yes.”

“Yes I think its a form of bondage,” Black said. “The ones that organize the Rastafari movement will tell you to walk this way, and then he will walk somewhere else. So where it leaves you now is in the middle of nowhere.”

Natural Black also opens up about growing up in Guyana before moving to Jamaica in 1995, selling cloth and joining the army before reggae music.

Peep interview below.

Sounds like a man led by the wrong people. instead of talking about these people he talks about the culture instead. He said that he still carries the beliefs of Rasta. His life, his choice though.
