Lil Wayne Beats Elvis Record For Most Billboard Hot 100 Singles

Hip Hop is alive and well.

YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne has surpassed Rock and Roll icon Elvis Presley’s reign over the Billboard chart.

Weezy scored his 109th Billboard Hot 100 charted single this week to pass Elvis, who currently holds a total of 108.

Game’s single “Celebration,” that features Chris Brown, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne debut the chart at number 82 and is expected to climb in the coming weeks.

The “Glee” cast currently holds the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 hits with a total of 204. However, Lil Wayne and Elvis Presley are the two most charted solo artists.

Lil Wayne has other artists to thanked for 67 of his charted singles for which he is only a featured artists. He is the lead artist in only 47 (39%) of his total singles that hit the chart.
