Grammy-winning reggae singer Buju Banton will know his fate when he appears in court today.
Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie, is facing an additional five years on a gun charge that was previously dismissed by Judge James Moody.
Buju Banton was convicted on the firearm possession charge in February, however, the judge dismissed that charge leaving only three counts of drug related charges.
Buju Banton was dealt with a big blow when he lost an appeal in a Georgia court of appeal in the summer. The appeal court also reinstate the firearm charge.
Buju Banton is currently serving his 10 year sentence in a Florida federal prison.
