Masicka Collaborates With European Producer, Drop New Video

Masicka, one of Dancehall’s most potent young lyricist has debuted the first of several music videos for 2013.

Known for the songs ‘Baddest’, ‘Go Hard & Done’ and ‘No Big Deal’ the entertainer has released the official video for the conscious composition ‘Why Me A Work’ produced by Switzerland based label Hemp Higher Productions in collaboration with One Motion Music. The single is a noticeably segue from his usual fast rhyming style and speaks to the struggles of the poor and underachievers of society.

Directed by Short Filmz Jamaica the project was shot throughout the Kingston and St. Andrew metropolis.

Meanwhile, Hemp Higher Productions has once again partnered with One Motion Music and are proud to present Masicka’s latest effort titled: Karma. The song title is self-explanatory and reaffirms the popular belief that ‘what goes around comes around’ as the Portmore deejay places himself in various everyday life situation and their sometimes unfortunate outcome.

Additional backing vocals on the track was done by European singer Randy Valentine on a heavy Hip-Hop and Reggae influenced beat composed, mixed and produced by Riga Of Hemp Higher Production.

Masicka is expected to release a number of singles in the weeks ahead for several of Jamaica’s top producers including Don Corleone, Equinoxx Music and newly crowned 2012 Producer of The Year – Markus Myrie.
