Soca King Machel Montano is in Jamaica for a huge Trinidadian-style carnival with Shaggy called Pandemonium.
Montano stopped by Onstage with Winford Williams to discuss the highly anticipated soca party.
The “Vibes Cyah Done” deejay also opened up about his his recent trial that ended in a conviction.
“The case was concluded right after carnival,” Machel said. “Of course the sentencing was after carnival but the judgement was passed during carnival. Maybe like two to three weeks before the big week. This case has been with us for five years. It was a bar brawl. It was an incident with some fans and it escalated outside the bar. Ultimately god be the judge, but we were found guilty.”
Machel Montano also cleared the air on his rumored visa issues.
Shaggy discuss his new label Ranch Entertainment and launching various new ventures including clothing and rum.
