However, Kartel’s attorney, Chris Tavares-Finson, told reporters that the case file was not missing.

According to Tavares-Finson, a prosecutor who was in possession of the case file did not show up to court on Monday. A judge rescheduled the case to Tuesday, July 9.

Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is on trial for the murder of St. Catherine businessman/promoter Barrington “Bossie” Burton.

Investigators say Burton was shot and killed in July of 2011 while standing with friends in along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park, St. Catherine.
