Snoop Lion’s “Reincarnated” Gets Grammy Nomination For Best Reggae Album

Snoop Lion reggae debut album Reincarnated was nominated for Best Reggae Album at the upcoming 56th Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled for January 26, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Grammy nominations were announced last Friday during the Grammy concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Jay-Z lead the nominees with 9 nods.

Snoop Lion will be going up against other veterans in reggae such as Beres Hammond, Ziggy Marley, Sizzla, and Sly & Robbie.

This marks Sizzla Kalonji’s first Grammy nomination for his critically acclaim album The Messiah.

Ziggy Marley already has four Grammy awards under his belt and is looking to add his fifth with a nomination for his Ziggy Marley In Concert album.

The rhythm twins, Sly & Robbie, got a nomination for their album Sly & Robbie And The Jam Masters.

Beres Hammond got his second Grammy nomination for his latest album One Love, One Life.

Snoop Lion has the best selling reggae album this year with over 80,000 copies sold.

  2. What about Vybz Kartels’ “THE KARTEL FOREVER: TRILOGY”. He was supposed to be nominated, and I don’t see as being the best reggae album this year. Just because he is from America then he is wealthy the nominations. That’s a F******G s**t man. Damn his album.
