Defense attorneys in Vybz Kartel high profile murder trial on Wednesday accused Inspector Warren Williams of fabricating evidence to secure a conviction.
Inspector Warren Williams is the head of the Cybercrimes Unit at the Organised Crime Investigation Division, OCID.

Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, along with co-accused Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams are on trial for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Inspector Williams took the witness stand on Tuesday and told the court that he surveyed four cell sites of interest regarding cellphone records for 10 numbers. These cell sites are located in Havendale, Mannings Hill Road, Meadowbrook and Andrew’s Memorial Hospital.
Williams told the court that based on the information he was able to placed the men in the Meadowbrook and Havendale area after 7 pm on August 16, 2011.
Under cross-examination from defense attorneys in court on Tuesday, defense attorneys accused the senior police officer of inconsistencies found in his cell site testimony.
In one instance, according to the cell site survey the cellphone said to belong to Vybz Kartel was connected to the Mannings Hill Rd cell tower at 7:52 pm.= on August 16, 2011. However, Kartel attorney showed the cop a letter from the Andrews Memorial Hospital showing that the deejay was there at 7:48 pm on that same day.
Defense attorneys also say the cellphone belonging to Clive Williams was at no time registered to the Mannings Hill cell site, which is close to the house on Swallowfield Rd, Havendale, where the alleged murder took place on August 16, 2011.
The Inspector agreed with the defense arguments saying he did not see it registered to that cell site based on the call records.
Attorney Pierre Rogers, who is representing Kahira Jones, accused Inspector Warren Williams of fabricating evidence to secure a conviction.
This was the exchange in court on Wednesday January 22.
Rogers: “Mr. Williams let me put this to you… you are saying what you have to say in order to secure a conviction. You are manufacturing the evidence as you go along.”
Williams: “You are incorrect Mr. Rogers. I am a professional and transparent individual, I speak neither for or against… I speak with the scientific fact.”
Former head of the Communication and Cybercrime unit in the Organised Crime Investigation Division, OCID, Patrick Linton took the witness stand on Wednesday. He will be back on the stand on Thursday to present in court, Voice note, video and Blackberry Messages that were alleged retrieved from phones belonging to the accused men.
Defense attorneys are already objecting to one of the Blackberry phones being entered into evidence, saying that one of them was being used while in police possession.

Honestly I’m not a big fan of Kartel but I stand by being fair to man. Dancehall don’t mean to much to me as I prefer conscious music like Chronixx, Sizzla, Tarrus Riley and many more. I just don’t like the fact that this whole thing is about framing Kartel and bringing him down. The other artists had more than two years to come out and hit the top of the charts but no not nothing. it really hurts me to say this but kartel is going to prison. Only god could save him now. I’m not sure which case the world is watching but a whitness took the stand and said the last place he saw his friend was on kartel’s living room floor dead! It seems every one forgot that. Yes there are inconsistency, at times, in the evidence as it is presented however I think the world has drawn their own conclusion that it looks like he is guilty of what he is accused of. My own opinion is that he is guilty of it however like his fans I hope he finds better days. His money and lawyer can’t save him now.
