Vybz Kartel Murder Trial Adjourned Until Monday

There will be no court session today for Vybz Kartel and his co-accused high profile murder trial.

One member of the jury will not be able to make it to court today so yesterday the judge adjourned the trial until Monday.

On Monday, defense attorney Miguel Lorne, representing Shawn “Storm” Campbell will continue his closing arguments.

Yesterday afternoon, Lorne told the 11-member jury to not let lead prosecution attorney, Jeremy Taylor, cloud their judgement by putting the wool over their eyes.

The attorney asked the jury to free the accused men and send them home to continue their lives.

Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams are anxiously awaiting their fate as their attorneys made their final pitch to the jury.

The five men are accused of beating Clive “Lizard” Williams to death on August 16, 2011 at Kartel’s house in Havendale.

The Crown says he was killed over two missing firearms belonging to the “Cake Soap” deejay.

His remains were never found.

The judge indicated that he will hand over the case to the jury by Wednesday of next week.
