In a statement released late yesterday afternoon, the Ministry of National Security says its stand by its decision for concerns of public safety.

The statement reads:

“Pursuant to advice received government had concerns for public safety. The decision to deny entry was intended as a preemptive action and also to provide an opportunity to exhaust all efforts to clarify information received.”

Tommy Lee arrived in Dominica on Sunday night to perform at a concert, but organizers were forced to cancell after immigration officers denied Lee and two members of his entourage entry into the island.

Tommy Lee lawyer Tehani Behanzin says he will be taking the matter to the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).
