Jason Derulo is responding to reports that he cheated on Jordin Sparks and that lead to their split.
Sparks and Derulo called it quits this week after three years of dating and even getting engaged.
Speaking with ABC News, Jason Derulo says their split was amicable and there are no truth to the cheating rumors.
“Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment,” Derulo said. “I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part. Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.”
Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have been dating since 2011 and have never being shy about their romance.
The couple was set to walk down the isle but parted ways before that went down.
Jordin Sparks was spotted out yesterday for the first time since split at the movie premiere of Left Behind on Catalina Island, CA. She brought Lance Bass as her date.
