Representative for the artist stated that they were unaware of the source of this information, as it was never arranged, or confirmed by her management team. “Although Anita would love to be a part of this event, she will be in Los Angeles gearing up for the wild card round of The Voice. She wants to assure her fans that she will soon make it to her beloved island”

It has been an exhilarating whirlwind for Jamaican born Voice contestant Anita Antoinette. Gaining popularity for her distinctive sound, the songstress made it to the top 10 of the popular NBC reality show after a disappointing first attempt.

Last week after a very successful run she fell into the bottom 3 and was subsequently sent home. This soulful soul is set to return to LA for next weeks ‘Wild Card’ round in which she will again get a chance to wow ‘The Voice’ judges and audience. Host Carson Daly revealed that for the first time ever, each of the eliminated top twelve contestants will receive another opportunity to compete in the live finale.

Per Daly, every Top 12 contestant eliminated prior to the top three round will be invited back for a wildcard competition. The winner of that wildcard slot will get to compete alongside the top three in the annual “Voice” finale. The news simultaneously brings intrigue and the promise of a potential reprieve for anyone victimized by a shock elimination. We spoke with Anita about her return to the show and she said “I am excited to have another shot at showing the world who I am, to hear my voice. Win or lose I am forever grateful to have had this opportunity and look forward to what the future holds.”

Watch Anita Antoinette in the ‘Wildcard’ round next week Monday and Tuesday on NBC ‘The Voice.’
