In his court documents, Lil Wayne argued that Birdman and other label execs withhold tens of millions of dollars from him for his new album Tha Carter V and that breached their contracts.

The New Orleans rapper says he is owed $10 million for Tha Carter V. $8 million of which was supposed to be an advance when he started recording the album in December 2013 and the $2 million balance was due when the album is completed.

Lil Wayne wants the judge to release him from the contract because the label breached it. But the problem is he is suing the label for $51 million.
