Lil Wayne Lawsuit Birdman Ordered To Turn Over Financial Documents

Lil Wayne just received some good news on his $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records.

A judge has ordered Birdman to turn over his financial documents from the label to Wayne’s lawyers, TMZ reported. Weezy’s team wants to comb through the documents to see what happened to the $70 million that they were suppose to split from that $100 million advance from Universal Music.

The Cash Money head has already turned over 20,000 pages of documents, but Weezy’s team has argued that those are not nearly enough and don’t give the full details as to what happened to the money as well as his total financial dealings. Seems Birdman and other Cash Money execs weren’t doing proper record keeping for the last two years.

The judge gave them 30 days to turn over all the financial docs which means failure to comply could result in him loosing the lawsuit Lil Wayne filed against him.

The ongoing legal battle has been waging for the past two years between the father and son type duo. Earlier this month, Lil Wayne hinted that he would be hanging up the mic because of his issues with his former mentor.
