Should Jay Z Meet With Donald Trump ? The-Dream Thinks So

Kanye West surprised everyone sort off when he met with Donald Trump on Tuesday and now The-Dream want Jay Z to be the next rap titan to meet with the president elect.

Ye did get a lot of flogging for the meeting this week from his fans on Twitter and also from some of his rap peers including his labelmate John Legend. So Hov won’t be so quick to rush into a meeting especially since he was a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton. ASAP Ferg and The-Dream are perhaps the only two rapper/singer who supports Kanye’s move, telling Billboard that other emcees should follow suit.

“Everybody should. Jay Z should go next. Everybody should so you can come back and report to us and let us know what’s going on. We need briefings, too,” the singer/producer said. “Eventually, ’Ye is going to tell—whatever that is. And we know ’Ye is blacker than black. You cannot not go and see him. You can’t. It’s the same thing when the police shootings happened. I asked Jay to meet with every police chief that he could, because that’s the only way. Being a leader means you still have to shake that person’s hand.”

The-Dream also want Kanye West to get in touch with him soon, perhaps he has some new music for him to work on. But he did criticized the College Dropout emcee for not returning his call, something that Ye chastised Jay Z for during one of his rants on stage during his Saint Pablo tour. The singer says he simply wanted to reach out to Ye because he know what he is going through because he too lost him mom and go through something similar around the anniversary of her death which is December 23rd. She died in 1992 and her birthday is on December 1st.
