Jhene Aiko debut her first self-directed music video “Maniac.” The R&B singer manned the set with the help of Topshelf Junior for the sexy seductive clip.
“Maniac” is the lead single off Aiko’s upcoming sophomore album. The project is not yet titled and a release date is not yet known, but fans can expect it sometime this year. The cut compliments the raunchy lyrics with Jhene Aiko being tied to a hospital bed in an asylum. As the video progresses she break out of her bondage and let loose her sexuality.
Jhene Aiko drew inspiration for the asylum-themed video from her own diagnose with bipolar disorder and her general interest into the mistreatment of women in a mental hospital. Her new album will her first solo project since her 2014 debut LP “Souled Out.” Last year she formed a group with her now boyfriend Big Sean name Twenty88 and they released an album with the same name.
