Vybz Kartel Warns Fans Of Fake “Gaza Vybz Rum”

Vybz Kartel is getting back into the rum business but first, he has to battle some folks who are selling counterfeit “Gaza Vybz Rum.”

The incarcerated dancehall rhymer was instrumental in the success of Street Vybz Rum with his ex-business partner Corey Todd. The venture saw huge commercial success in the dancehall market back in 2009-2010, but things came to an abrupt end over a fallout between the two in 2011.

A rep for the dancehall star told Urban Islandz that the new rum venture is a partnership with his new business partner and they are expecting more success. “Anything the Worl’Boss (Vybz Kartel) touch turns to gold,” his rep said. “Gaza Vybz Rum will be a hit just like Street Vybz did. There are some fake rum on the market but our lawyers are dealing with that. This is premium rum so the difference will be noticeable.”

Vybz Kartel also gave his fans the heads-up on IG warning them of the fake refreshments bearing his name. “People don’t buy this rum,” the “Fever” deejay wrote. “Di boy dem a rob ppl buy selling a lower grade of product and a use me name..I repeat DO NOT BUY GAZA VYBZ RUM…the Real GAZAVYBZRUM coming soon..just keep posted to this page.”
