Migos Album “CULTURE” To Sell 120K Units In First Week and Debut At No. 1

Migos is set to earn their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart next week with projected sales of their new project CULTURE estimated at 120,000 units in the first week, Billboard reported.

The Atlanta group’s sophomore album was released on Friday, January 27 and came with a lot of hype surrounding the trio with their No. 1 single “Bad and Boujee” doing very well commercially. The project was released under the labels the group is signed to, Quality Control and 300 Entertainment. Early sales figures are showing that the album could sell anywhere from 100,000 to 120,000 copies by end of Thursday.

The two single that’s pushing the album are “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “T-Shirt.” The first is their biggest hit to date and is currently the No. 1 song on the Hot 100 chart and the later is growing in popularity with some 9 million on-demand streams this week. CULTURE is the followup album to Migos’ 2015 debut LP Yung Rich Nation which sold 18,000 copies in the first week and peaked at No. 17 on the 200 album chart. A big part of the sales for CULTURE will be driven by streaming since we are living in an age where people don’t buy music anymore because streaming is so much easier.
