Wyclef Says It Will Take Dave Chappelle For Another Fugees Reunion

The group, which comprises of Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel, has been widely hail as one of the greatest rap groups ever. During his interview with Ebro on Hot 97 on Thursday, Wyclef opened up about the Fugees and whether or not there will be a reunion.

“I was on The Real the other day and I said look ‘because I am the only Fugee anyone can get in touch with they asked me,'” the Haitian-born singer said. “At the end of the day at this point its really really not up to me, because the last time it happened the person that was oracle and pivotal in making that happen was Dave Chapelle. What happened was that he came in a certain way that nobody came. The Fugees is not a put together type of group, it’s still from a very spiritual place.”

The Fugees rose to fame in the 1990s with a flavor of hip hop that was heavily influenced by reggae music and hip hop soul. That album is also one of the best-selling hip hop album of all-time. Their debut LP Blunted on Reality was released in 1994. The group split in 1997 and each went on to focus on their solo careers. Lauryn Hill saw huge commercial success with her solo debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill released in 1998.

Wyclef Jean sounds like he is ready to hit the road or get in the studio with the rest of the Fugees, so Pras and Lauryn Hill, its your turn to respond to this question, and we as the fans want to see this happen.
