Drake Ends Boy Meets World Tour In Amsterdam With Popcaan

Drake ended his “Boy Meets World” tour in Amsterdam on Wednesday night with a bang and he had the support of dancehall sensation Popcaan.

The Toronto rapper kicked off the hugely successful tour in the Dutch capital on January 28 and he has been making his way across Europe ever since then performing to sold out crowds in cities like London, Paris, Dublin, Stockholm, Berlin, and more. For his final show, Drake brought out dvsn, Giggs and his close friend Popcaan.

After the show wraps, Drake and his team celebrated backstage with lots of champagne female. For the most part the tour ran without incident excepted for two canceled shows in Amsterdam at the start of the tour and then again on Monday of this week when the rapper got food poisoning after eating some bad sushi. A handful of other artists made guest appearances on a few of the tour dates including Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Skepta, Jorja Smith, Trey Songz, The Weekend, and Young Thug who joined the England leg.

Drake has been having a great month in March after dominating the charts with his new album More Life which debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 505,000 album equivalent units in the first week. The album is expected to remain at the top spot for a second week. The project also broke the single day streaming volume on both Apple Music and Spotify. More Life earned Drake his 7th number one album on Billboard and making him now tie with Eminem and Kanye West for the second most number one albums among rappers only behind Jay Z who has thirteen.

Now that he has released his album and completed his tour, what’s next for Drake. Sources inside OVO told Urban Islandz that he will take some down time to spend with his family and friends and also prepare for the upcoming first annual NBA awards which he is hosting.
