Kodak Black Sentenced To One Year In Prison For Probation Violation

Kodak Black just learned that he will be spending the next 12 months behind bars after being sentenced to one year in prison for probation violation.

Last month, the Pompano Beach rapper was found guilty of violating his probation at least five times since being placed on house arrest late last year. He appeared in court on Thursday with his layer for his sentencing hearing where a judge handed down a one-year term behind bars. He should consider this as a lucky break since he was facing up to eight years in prison for what prosecutors describes as him sh**ting on the justice system.

The 19-year-old “Tunnel Vision” rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, gave his mother a heartfelt apology in court after his sentencing. “It pierced my heart,” Kodak Black said after learning that his mother broke down in tears outside of the courthouse when he was found guilty last week. Kodak has a chance of getting out of jail early if he completes a life skills course while serving his time. Sources say he could just as little as a month in jail if he completes the course early.

Kodak Black violated the terms of his house arrest several times including a time when he went to a strip club in Miami and another time when he went to a boxing match in Ohio without authorization. The Broward state attorney asked the judge to sentenced him to the maximum eight years in prison for taking the justice system for a joke. The rapper is now being held at Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Main Jail since his arrest on February 28. He is already feeling some fallout from the development after being dropped from Future’s upcoming “Nobody Safe Tour.” The good news for him now is that his debut album Painting Pictures is still selling units and is currently at number sixteen on the Billboard 200 chart.
