Camila Cabello Self-titled Album Debut At No. 1 On Billboard 200

Camila Cabello‘s self-titled debut album is now occupying the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The singer created history when she becomes the first woman since Meghan Trainor in 2015 to have their debut album top the chart. Her album Camila sold 119,000 copies in the first week of release with 65,000 copies being pure album sales. Roughly 16,000 were track equivalent albums (SEA) and 38,000 were streaming equivalent albums (TEA). The R&B singer thanked her fans on social media on Sunday for supporting the album. “My album is number 1 on Billboard Hot 200 I’m crying on the street,” she tweeted.

The former Fifth Harmony singer was only projected to move around 90,000 copies of the album but she shattered those predictions and thus toppling The Greatest Showman album for the top spot on the most prestigious album chart in the world.

Elsewhere on the chart, Ed Sheeran blockbuster album ÷ (Divide) slips to No. 3 in front of Post Malone’s album Stoney which made some gains to the No. 4 spot. Taylor Swift’s Reputation rounds out the top five album on the chart. G-Eazy album The Beautiful & Damned is at No. 6, while Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. and Eminem‘s Revival holding the No. 7 and 8 spots respectively. Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2 and Lil Skies’ Life of a Dark Rose round out the top ten spots. Skies jump from number 23 to 10 this week after seeing a surge.

Every week, Billboard rank the top 200 albums in the United States based on a mix of metrics including track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and pure album sales. The site usually update the charts on Tuesdays each week, so tomorrow these updates movements will go live.
